WHO IS
LUAISO LÓPEZ
Due to my difficulties in school and social adaptation, I spent much of my childhood taking refuge in drawing. Finally, I was educated as a graphic designer in the art school, Espai Gráfic, and I became a professional in illustration and self-publishing.
I started in 2008 as a freelance with works such as covers of books or albums, until getting to publish in several magazines collaborating with well-known fashion photographers such as Xevi
Muntané and Ferran Casanova. Thanks to them, I started to get interested in photography. In 2011, I won the Contemporary Art Contest of Alicante, successfully exhibiting my mixed illustration and photography project, which I later used to explore my narrative facet.
Throughout 2014, I developed self-taught skills for sculpture and grew interest in the culture of Art Toys. Highlighting the creation of a collection of figures for the fashion designer, Maria Escoté, and the realization of a giant head of Tyrion Lannister requested by Vice, for the corner of Movistar in the renowned Sonar and Primavera Sound music festivals in 2016.
Inspired by pop, freak and my introspective travels, I am creating a universe halfway between fantasy and reality, while I continue to explore the possibilities of illustration, narratives, sculptures and Art Toys.
