WHO IS
MOES

MOES is a young artist from Champagne (France) sailing in a graphic and urban universe, mixing dream and disenchantment. His eclectic creations, both on the theme and the media used, leave him free to explore new horizons.

This style stems from the different periods of his youth during which he became interested in several movements. From graffiti to cartoons and SF films, he has tried to assimilate the codes in order to be better able to appropriate them, and to play the borderline in nuance.

Child of the 90 s, the story began with Disney animated, video games, American blockbusters and the first Mangas of the French scene that inspired and inspire him now.

Architecture and design invited themselves into his world later, following his studies in building and urban planning, which allowed him to discover CAD / CAD software (Computer Aided Design / Drawing). and the taste of geometry and volumes in general.
It was also during this period that he began to collect his first vinyl toys and to discover many pop / urban artists who inspired him such as the famous Kaws.

Urban Art, Pop Culture or even Geek Art are so many qualifiers to categorize his work combining fantastic and rigor and summarize more particularly the way he loves today.

While browsing through his work, we discover sketches, paintings on canvas marrying bomb and acrylic, logos creations or flocking on textiles.
However in recent years, most of his work is digital and designed on architecture software. This type of tool allows him to obtain very vectorial visuals and to apply flat colors, graphic rendering that he particularly likes.

Whatever the medium, the distinctive sign on his latest creations remains the look of his characters. They all have white eyes, round, disproportionate, circled in black and surrounded.

After many years of working on several small, unfinished projects, he decided in 2015 to engage in a much more accomplished collection entitled “P-in. DELTA”.
It gravitates around its imaginary penguin P-in. and mixes drawings, paintings, prints on photo paper but especially the transition from 2D to 3D with the impression of his first Art Toy.
